A new poster has been revealed for Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and it promises us our first-time look at the activity. For real. The poster shows a Poltergeist-y portal opening in the children’s bedroom with a couple of eerie figures waiting at the end of the tunnel. One of them is probably the terrorising entity Toby, as we have also been promised a proper look at him too.
It has been ensured that this is going to be the final instalment of the franchise and it’s choosing to go out with a big 3-D bang. It will be interesting to see how a found-footage film works in 3D, but it does seem to go against everything the aesthetic represents. Hopefully the focus on realism will not be abandoned in favour of anything too gimmicky.
I’m excited to see how the franchise draws to a close and I can’t wait for all the unanswered questions to be resolved. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is to be directed by Gregory Plotkin and will be released on 23rd October 2015.
