A batch of images have been released for the supernatural horror The Forest which stars Natalie Dormer. They show her character Sara traversing the forest for her lost sister and, also, give us a couple of sneaky snaps from behind the scenes.
Synopsis:
A supernatural thriller set in the legendary Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. A young American woman, Sara (Dormer), goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone’s warnings to “stay on the path,” Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate – only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who wanders into the forest.
The Aokigahara Forest is infamously known for its high rate of suicide; with hundreds of people flocking there to end their lives. With this ominous and dark fact hanging over the heads of those on set, it must have made the perfect setting for a genuinely chilling experience.
