NEW BOOK “YOU CAN’T KILL THE BOOGEYMAN” TELLS THE STORIED HISTORY OF THE “HALLOWEEN” FRANCHISE

Posted on: July 15th, 2025

Are you a fan of the Halloween franchise who thinks they just might know everything about the series? Well, a brand-new book may prove you wrong!

You Can’t Kill the Boogeyman: The Ongoing Halloween Saga – 13 Movies and Counting, comes to us from author Wayne Byrne. Byrne already has serious cachet when it comes to retrospective horror franchise books, having previously penned Welcome to Elm Street: Inside the Film and Television Nightmares.

Covering all 13 Halloween movies in depth, Byrne’s book details the production of each film, examining not only the creative process, but the impact each entry had on the franchise and pop culture.

Positioning itself as the ultimate Halloween series companion book, You Can’t Kill the Boogeyman features interviews with those behind every aspect of Halloween. Writers, directors, composers, cinematographers, and actors share their insights into crafting each Halloween entry.

Some of those interviewed for the franchise retrospective include:
Tommy Lee Wallace, Dwight H. Little, Dannielle Harris, Alan B. McElroy, Alan Howarth, P.J. Soles, Dean Cundey, Daniel Farrands, Marianne Hagan, Brad Loree, and many, many others.

You Can’t Kill the Boogeyman also features a foreword from prolific horror journalist and Halloween super fan Tony Timpone.

The book will release on August 7th 2025 via Blumsbury Publishing, and will be available in hardcover and e-book. Pre-orders are currently live.

So, with a new Halloween film project allegedly in the works, there’s perhaps no better time to purchase the ultimate Halloween series companion.
