A new poster has been unveiled for the survival thriller Arctic and it shows a tiny Mads Mikkelsen surrounded by a LOT of snow. In the film, Mikkelsen’s character is stranded in the Arctic, but his opportunity for survival is lost. He is forced to decide whether to trek through the endless snow or remain at his camp.
This sort of desolation and hopelessness is a real nightmare, and I have a soft spot for films that follow people overcoming the odds to survive. Hopefully this one will have the feel-food, uplifting ending we usually get with these intense dramas.
Arctic comes from director Joe Penna and has a release date slated for 1st February 2019 in the USA. Hopefully we’ll learn of a release date in the UK soon.
