This is what we’ve been waiting for. A brand new trailer has landed for Ridley Scott’s ridiculously-anticipated Alien: Covenant, and it’s sure to please those hoping for less Prometheus and more, well, Alien.
The most exciting 90 seconds you’ll experience today showcases the film’s key creatures, including one we’ve never set eyes on before; the Neomorph, a speedy, white alien which looks super creepy. Others of course we couldn’t be more familiar with. The trailer climaxes with an attack from a Xenomorph, the iconic alien introduced to audiences in 1979, and there’s plenty of face-hugger action. The trailer also gives us a taste of the badassery we can expect from out new heroine, Daniels, played by Inherent Vice’s Katherine Waterston, who stars alongside Michael Fassbender (reprising his Prometheus role), Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Alex England, Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz, Callie Hernandez and, as confirmed in that set pic the other week, James Franco.
Synopsis:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
Alien: Covenant will take over cinemas in the UK on May 12.
