The first season of Netflix’s horror-mystery series 1899 only premiered last November, but the streaming platform has already pulled the plug. The first season will be the last.
Dark creators Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese were behind the series. “We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a 2nd and 3rd season as we did with Dark,” the duo said in a recent statement. “But sometimes things don’t turn out the way you planned. That’s life.
“We know this will disappoint millions of fans out there. But we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts that you were part of this wonderful adventure.”
In 1899: “On their journey across the vast and treacherous Atlantic Ocean, the passengers of the Kerberos encounter the biggest mystery of their lives.” Emily Beecham starred.
