The release date for J. A. Bayona’s A Monster Calls has been pushed back, but, fear not, because it is only by a tiny week. Instead of hitting our screens on 14th October it will now be released on 21st October, the same week as Blumhouse’s Ouija 2 and Lionsgate’s Boo! A Madea Halloween. It seems like we have a perfect horror trio; a more family-friendly feature, a teen shocker and a comedy-horror all sharing the screens together. Lovely stuff.
A Monster Calls comes from director J. A. Bayona (The Orphanage) and stars Liam Neeson, Felicity Jones and Toby Kebbell. It is based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Patrick Ness. If you haven’t read the book then I urge you to do so, it’s a treat. For now, check out the monstrous trailer below.
