An official selection of the Fantasia International Film Festival, folk horror film Moloch has been acquired by Shudder—and the trailer digs itself into a dark and frightening hole.
In Moloch: “Betriek lives at the edge of a peat bog in the North of the Netherlands. When she and her family are attacked by a random stranger one night, Betriek sets out to find an explanation. The more she digs, the more she becomes convinced that she is being hunted by something ancient.”
Moloch comes to us from Dutch director Nico van den Brink, who also wrote the film with Daan Bakker. Sallie Harmsen (Blade Runner 2049) and Alexandre Willaume (The Wheel of Time) star. The film will be available exclusively on Shudder in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand on July 21st.
