Just hours after premiering the first teaser for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Blumhouse and Universal gave us another trailer straight from Cinema-Con.
M3GAN is back, and this time, she’s gotten an upgrade!
The first full length trailer for the highly anticipated M3GAN 2.0 landed online 24 hours after being part of the Universal showcase, and fans can’t get enough.
Leaning fully into the cultural icon their killer android has become; the clip begins with M3GAN herself narrating. Expressing regret for her past crimes, the robot feels she is still a worthy protector of young Cady.
Meanwhile, M3GAN creator Gemma and her young niece have banished M3GAN’S intelligence into a body that renders her useless.
That is until another highly evolved android named Amelia appears. A violent assassin, we learn she was crafted from the same plans as M3GAN. It is her mission to wipe out everyone responsible for her creation… Including Gemma and Cady.
With no other option, M3GAN is given a new body and a killer upgrade to engage in a fight to the death.
Full of sarcastic wisecracks, and looking like M3GAN on speed, this sequel positions the titular android in a Terminator-style battle. Once the villain, now she must battle one of her own to save her charge.
All set to the strains of Britney Spears’ Oops… I Did It Again, M3GAN 2.0 looks like it could be the horror thrill-ride of the summer.
Filmmaker Gerard Johnstone and writer Akela Cooper returned to tackle the same duties on the sequel. Alongside them, cast members Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Amie Donald, Jenna Davis, and Brian Jordan Alvarez have also returned.
M3GAN 2.0 is slated to hit theatres on June 27th 2025 via Universal Pictures. You can check out the action-packed trailer below:
