After slaying at the box office, tech horror M3GAN is officially getting a sequel from Blumhouse and Atomic Monster! Titled M3GAN 2.0, the film is currently slated to hit theatres on January 17th, 2025.
Stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw will be back for M3GAN 2.0 along with screenwriter Akela Cooper. James Wan is on board to produce.
The first big horror hit of 2022, M3GAN was directed by Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) and sees toy company roboticist Gemma thrown into a caregiver role after her 8-year-old niece, Cady, is suddenly orphaned.
Struggling to connect with the young girl and falling behind at work, Gemma decides to pair Cady with a prototype toy she’s been working on—M3GAN, a life-like AI doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Cady quickly becomes enamoured with the doll and never leaves her side. But something dark lies beneath M3GAN’s plastic exterior, and Gemma’s decision is about to have unimaginable consequences for them all…
