Fast becoming a familiar face in high-profile horror, 11-year-old Lulu Wilson is following her roles in Ouija: Origin of Evil and Annabelle: Creation with a small-screen tale of terror, having just been added to the cast of Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House.
Newcomer Victoria Pedretti is also onboard, joining the already-cast Carla Gugino, Michiel Huisman, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Henry Thomas.
The 10-episode series is a contemporary reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s classic 1959 novel, which was first adapted by Robert Wise in 1963 for his masterfully terrifying horror classic The Haunting, which was later remade as a worthless mess of CGI and fright-free spooks in 1999 by Jan de Bont.
The series is written, directed and executive produced by horror fave Mike Flanagan (Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil), who worked with Gugino for his upcoming Stephen King adaptation Gerald’s Game, also for Netflix.
Trevor Macy produces the series alongside Flanagan. Amblin TV’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank will also exec produce.
