The idea of everlasting love has been explored quite a bit in horror recently. Life After Beth and Burying The Ex gave us a bit of zombie action as they showed us lovers returning from the grave to continue where they left off. They do say that good things come in threes and, perhaps, Clinger could be the film to complete this trio of unlikely horror romances.
Synopsis:
When her possessive high school boyfriend dies in a gruesome accident, Fern Petersen’s life is thrown into turmoil. Things go from bad to worse when he returns as a love-sick ghost to kill her so they can be together for eternity.
Take a look at the trailer below; it’s very ‘80s and very funny, setting Clinger up to be a witty parody of stereotypical romance movies. The film comes from director Michael Steves, who is currently working on the horror-western The Cold Descent.
Clinger will be released on VOD on 23rd October.
