That’s right, Alexandre Aja and James Wan are teaming up to bring us a new thriller titled ‘Smart House’. Aja and Wan are two extremely different, but equally as impressive genre film-makers, so we can’t wait to see what they can craft when their minds come together. Between them they have directed Mirrors, Piranha 3D, Horns, Saw, Dead Silence and The Conjuring, so they are no strangers to our favourite genre.
In Smart House a family’s house becomes under attack, forcing the home to go into full-throttle defence mode to protect itself and its inhabitants. If you’re familiar with Aja’s earlier work then you’ll know that his 2003 crime-horror Haute Tension (High Tension) shares certain similarities to this concept; whether Smart House will have an equally as shocking revelation at the end we will have to wait and see.
Aja will be directing Smart House and Wan will be producing with his Atomic Monster production company. Atomic Monster have produced Lights Out and Annabelle, and is currently producing The Nun and Annabelle 2.
