Linda Hamilton is no stranger to fast-paced action. After all, we’ve watched her battle terminators three times, and emerge victorious.
However, as much as we love her as Sarah Connor, Hamilton is embodying an all-new bad-ass warrior in the trailer for sci-fi-horror Osiris.
Playing Anya, Hamilton adopts a Russian accent, and comes to the aid of a group of US Special Forces, after they’ve been abducted by an alien craft.
Imprisoned for many years by a race of mysterious creatures, Hamilton channels her best Ellen Ripley, as she seemingly bands together with the marines to finally abolish her captors.
However, Anya is all too aware of the aliens’ intentions, and should they fail to stop them now, all of humanity may be doomed!
Channelling the grittiness of Alien mixed with the gun-toting hijinks of Predator, Osiris is a love letter to the heavyweights of the genre.
Co-starring Max Martini, Brianna Hildebrand, and LaMonica Garrett, Osiris comes to us from filmmaker William Kaufman, as his most ambitious project to date.
Kaufman has stressed that although it was tempting to rely on visual effects, the team behind Osiris were determined to primarily use practical effects when bringing the alien creatures to life:
“We filmed the movie as practically as possible from the aliens, set builds, and stunts – all to stay true to the movies we love.”
Osiris will release direct-to-streaming and video-on-demand on July 25th 2025.
