Lin Shaye has joined the cast of Ashley Hamilton’s Gothic Harvest, joining horror regular Bill Moseley and Sofia Mattsson. The film marks actor Hamilton’s directorial debut and you may recognise him from 2016’s Rules Don’t Apply and Cats Dancing on Jupiter.
The film follows a group of co-eds who are on Spring Break at Mardi Gras, before unwittingly stepping into a spell cast by voodoo queen Marie Laveau. The spell ensures that a rich family stay immortal as long as they kidnap a girl each year from Mardi Gras.
Lin Shaye recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from CineAsia. The star has had roles in countless films, including the continuing Insidious franchise, Ouija and There’s Something About Mary. You’ll next be able to catch Shaye in the fourth chapter of Insidious; Insidious: The Last Key, which releases next year on 5th January, where she reprises her role as Elise Rainier.
Gothic Harvest is currently filming and has a release date slated for 1st August 2018.
