Blumhouse has been developing a new Paranormal Activity sequel, and while the plan was initially to release the film next spring, it will now hit theatres on March 4th, 2022.
This will be the seventh instalment in the Paranormal Activity franchise, which has been quiet since 2015’s The Ghost Dimension. Christopher Landon, who wrote four of the previous films in addition to helming the Happy Death Day movies, returned to help develop this sequel, though he made it clear that he was neither penning the script nor scripting.
Since The Ghost Dimension was said to be the final Paranormal Activity movie, it’s unclear whether this latest instalment will pick up where the other films left off, or if it is intended to reboot the franchise. We’ll bring you more details as we hear them.
