As the Hellmouth prepares to open again, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer updates just keep coming!
A week after the cast was updated with a sizeable number of fresh faces, we’re now hearing that someone familiar to modern audiences is circling the show.
Having recently just tackled the lead in Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, a reliable source reports that actress Chase Sui Wonders is being considered for a role in the Buffy reboot.
Of course, this is hardly surprising, as Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar worked on the Last Summer sequel. It’s entirely possible Gellar was struck by the actress, and used her pull as an executive producer to have Wonders considered.
We’ll keep an eye on this news, and see if anything comes of the whispers of Wonders’ involvement.
In further Buffy news, an official title has reportedly emerged for the upcoming Hulu reboot. Reliable sources are reporting that the sequel show will be entitled Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale.
This title tracks with what we’ve been hearing of the project, particularly that the school involved would bear the name New Sunnydale Academy.
With shooting expected to begin soon, it’s likely we’ll have news regarding the returns of some familiar legacy faces soon, so stay tuned!
