Some may argue that it has been a long time coming, but Kevin Bacon is finally getting his chance to reprise his role as Val McKee in Tremors. A TV reboot of Tremors is in the works courtesy of Universal and Blumhouse Productions, and it will be the second time Tremors has been adapted for TV since 2003. Bacon is the only actor confirmed to star in the show as of yet, but with Michael Gross recently starring in the straight-to-DVD sequel Tremors 5: Bloodlines, perhaps he will appear again as Burt Gummer.
Kevin Bacon has frequently spoken about his desire to return to the Tremors universe and it was only a couple of months ago when he described Val as the only character he’d be interesting in revisiting 25 years on. His wishes have now been granted and we can’t wait to see Val back fighting Graboids in Perfection Valley once again.
The TV show is being written by Andrew Miller and, apparently, there are a few networks keen to pick the show up. So, watch this space for more news as it comes.
