Jules Willcox of Netflix’s Bloodline has been picked to head the cast of survival thriller Alone, which is an English-language remake of 2011 Swedish film Gone (Försvunnen).
Mattias Olsson, who wrote and directed Gone, scripted the remake, which will see Universal Soldier: Regeneration and Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning director John Hyams taking the helm. Lining up alongside Willcox (pictured) in the film will be Ozark’s Marc Menchaca and Anthony Heald (The Silence of the Lambs, 8MM).
Synopsis:
Set in the Pacific Northwest wilderness, the film follows recently widowed Jessica (Willcox) who, fleeing the city in a desperate attempt to cope with the loss of her late husband, is kidnapped and locked away in a mysterious man’s cabin. Her escape from the clutches of this murderous captor land her in the heart of the untamed wilderness, with only her wits to rely on for survival as her pursuer closes in.
Jordan Foley and Jonathan Rosenthal are producing Alone through their Mill House Motion Pictures banner in collaboration with Paperclip Limited.
