Hooray! One of our favourite characters from the Jurassic Park franchise is making a welcome return to the deadly dinosaur park; Jeff Goldblum! You don’t need us to tell you that he played Dr Ian Malcolm and SURVIVED the events of the original trilogy (can I call it that?), so could (and should!) have reprised his role in Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, but sadly did not.
It’s better late than never to see Goldblum confirmed to return in his role as Ian Malcolm, and we can’t wait to see what comic adventures his character gets up to. Goldblum joins the cast that already includes Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who are returning to their roles from Jurassic World, as well as Justice Smith, Ted Levine, James Cromwell, Toby Jones, BD Wong and Rafe Spall.
The currently untitled sequel to Jurassic World will be directed by J. A. Bayona (The Orphanage, A Monster Calls) and is due to be with us on 22nd June 2018.
