Jared Leto has already been confirmed to be starring in a standalone Joker movie for DC, but now he is in talks to star in Sony’s Cinematic Universe. It is being reported that the Oscar-winning star and singer for 30 Seconds to Mars is to feature in an adaptation of Morbius the Living Vampire.
It has not been confirmed if he will play the title role, but we do expect that to be the case. Morbius first appeared in the Spider-Man comics in the ‘70s, and he is a scientist who accidentally turns himself into a vampire after trying to cure himself of a blood disease. Woops, indeed.
Although he’s not a hero like Peter Parker, he did become quite the anthihero. Only time will tell if this project gets off the ground, so watch this space for more as it comes! For now, we have Tom Hardy’s Venom to look forward to on 5th October 2018.
