Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy are the stars of a new Frankenstein story, which tells the classic tale from Igor’s perspective. You know the plot, so I won’t bore you with the details. However, I will mention that the trailer paints a very action-packed picture and brings a whole different tone to the story. As the director is Paul McGuigan this is not surprising. Igor and Frankenstein even have a bit of Holmes and Watson-esque banter going on.
The trailer gives us some of the classic Frankenstein moments – it’s alive!- and spins quite a witty web as it does so. Rather than going for a fully dark re-imagining, it’s chosen to go down a more light-hearted route with a splash of comedy. This will ensure that the film is unlike last year’s I, Frankenstein, which took itself far too seriously.
