Fast becoming one of our most anticipated films of the year, Lace Crater has received a trailer ahead of its screening at Fantasia Film Festival on 28th July. It looks intimate, twisted and immediately unnerving as it centres on a young woman who has a one-night stand with a ghost. She undergoes some freaky bodily changes after her ghostly romance, which unleash a few pure, great moments of body horror.
Check out the trailer below, it treads very carefully along the thin line between horror and comedy, presenting a surprisingly tender but terrifying presentation. It looks to be bonkers and brilliant, so we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Lace Crater comes from writer-director Harrison Atkins and stars Lindsay Brudge, Betsey Brown and Steve Girard. It will be receiving a limited release in the USA on 29th July; hopefully it will make its way to the UK soon.
