With Insidious: Out of the Further currently proving a hit at the box-office, it’s understandable that Blumhouse Atomic Monster would want to keep hold of writer-director Jacob Chase.
It has been confirmed that Chase will helm a new horror project entitled Sleepover for the company.
Plot details currently remain under wraps, but the project has been described as “the quintessential sleepover nightmare.”
Once again, Chase will undertake writing duties as well as directing. This time, the filmmaker has been paired with Night Swim scribe Bryce McGuire. Mirroring Night Swim, Sleepover is also based on a short story by McGuire.
CEO Jason Blum will produce, alongside Chase and McGuire.
The project has been slated for an October 8th 2027 release via Universal Pictures.
More details are expected soon, as it looks like Chase is one of the newest names to watch in the genre.
Stay tuned for further updates!
