Last week we confirmed that the eagerly anticipated reboot of 1994’s The Crow would fly into theatres on June 7th 2024. Given that that’s only three months away, we hypothesised that promotion for the project would move quickly.
It seems we were right…
Now we have our first look at Bill Skarsgard as Eric Draven. In the image that has everyone talking, Skarsgard is seen glaring into the camera, sporting make-up like that of Brandon Lee in the original film. Much has been made of Skarsgard’s bulked up physique in Boy Kills World of late, and it’s on full display in this image.
Two more images reveal singer FKA Twigs as Draven’s love interest Sadie Webster. One shows Skarsgard and Twigs sitting by a campfire, whilst the second appears to be an image of the two characters on their wedding day. If so, this is something different from the source material, as the characters weren’t married.
A trailer is expected very soon for The Crow, given how close the release date is.
This long-in-gestation reboot comes to us from Ghost in the Shell director Rupert Sanders, and co-stars Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila, and Jordan Bolger in undisclosed roles. The Crow will release on June 7th 2024 from Lionsgate Films, and will surely be one of the biggest hits of the year.
We’ll bring you any further promotional material as it drops.
