We recently reviewed Benni Diez’s incredible b-movie Stung and now the film has finally been given an official release date. IFC Midnight have been working hard in order to get the film out into the wide world, and they’ll be unleashing the wasps in limited theatres and on VOD on July 3rd 2015.
Starring in Stung is Matt O’Leary, Jessica Cook, Clifton Collins Jr., Lance Henriksen, Daniele Rizzo, Florentine Lahme, Cecilia Pillado and Eve Slatner.
To go with the release date news, we’ve also got the official trailer for the film, and it certainly leaves an uneasy feeling about buzzing bugs in our minds.
Synopsis:
Set in an isolated and remote country villa, set against beautiful rural landscapes, an elderly widow is hosting a upper class garden event for all the elite and professional people that her husband knew. We follow one of the waiters, Paul, as he tries to impress Julia and also stay alive when a swarm of giant killer wasps attack the party, leaving the pair to fight against the wrath of mutant 7-foot wasps.
