Are you ready to get hooked again?
Just in time for the July 4th holiday and the film’s 25th anniversary, Columbia Pictures and Sony Entertainment have announced a 4K UHD upgrade of their 1998 slasher sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
Released just a year after the enormous success of the Kevin Williamson penned predecessor, the sequel sees returning leads Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jnr battle villain Ben Willis against a stormy island backdrop.
Although not living up to industry expectations, the film still made a profit and has become somewhat of a cult classic thanks to a rather outlandish story.
Now the sequel joins its predecessor with an anniversary edition in glorious 4K with an accompanying Blu-ray!
The Blu-ray will contain the film with all its standard features, including an archival “making of” featurette and a music video for Jennifer Love Hewitt’s soundtrack offering How Do I Deal.
The 4K disc will not only contain the upgraded version of the film, but also a brand-new audio commentary by director Danny Cannon as well as an on-camera interview with Ben Willis actor Muse Watson.
The set will be released September 26th and is currently available for pre-order from all good physical media outlets.
