The “class of ’25” has already had one horror icon receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; John Carpenter.
However, it was also reported that fellow genre legend Robert Englund was among those to be honoured this year.
What we didn’t know was exactly when the Nightmare on Elm Street star would receive his accolade. However, now the date has been made public… and we can’t think of a more perfect time to induct Englund.
According to multiple sources, Robert Englund’s Star Walk ceremony will take place on October 31st 2025 at 11am. Yes, that’s right, the man responsible for embodying one of horror’s most iconic monsters will have his momentous day on Halloween! How fitting.
Englund’s star will be placed at the 6600 block of Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, and will join other legendary genre boogeymen including Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney.
The ceremony will be a celebration of a career that’s lasted 51 years in Hollywood. Although best known for his 8-film run as Freddy Krueger, Englund has worked prolifically outside of the Nightmare franchise.
Having an uncanny knack for playing villains, Englund has lent his sinister talents to films like 1989’s The Phantom of the Opera, 1981’s Dead and Buried, and 2006’s Hatchet.
Most closely associated with filmmakers Tobe Hooper and Wes Craven, Englund has been vocal about the fact neither of his late colleagues have received a star, despite their significant contributions to the film industry.
Perhaps the tide is turning with the addition of Englund and legendary filmmaker John Carpenter?
