Pulse is the second novel by award-winning author B.A. Bellec, and it will kick off a new series. Just recently the release date was set as December 1, 2021.
The main plot centers on a creature outbreak at a music festival in the year 2040. Imagine if Fyre Festival had been a success for one night only to have something ruin the festival on day two.
Bellec has been receiving early praise for his unique screenplay-style formatting and adept ability to seamlessly navigate between horror, sci-fi, and dystopian themes with the pace of a thriller. Fans of properties like X-Files and Black Mirror will surely enjoy this wild ride that taps into the fear we all felt during COVID-19.
In addition to writing novels, Bellec is a music producer. He posts his songs to his YouTube channel and they are always inspired by moments in his books. During the pandemic, Bellec was awarded a grant from The Canada Council for the Arts to produce Pulse-themed music. Three songs are available now and a few more are coming soon. One of the new songs will be accompanied by a horror-themed Anime Music Video.
