“HALLOWEEN” AND “NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD” REMAKE RECEIVING NEW 4K RELEASES

Posted on: July 12th, 2025

Calling all physical media collectors! Three classics are coming to 4K this fall, and you won’t want to miss out.

First, we have John Carpenter’s Halloween getting a 4K UHD re-issue, this time as a steelbook featuring beautiful newly commission artwork.

Joining Carpenter’s seminal classic is it’s equally beloved 1981 sequel, Halloween II, also a steelbook with brand-new art.

The features on both discs have been ported over from previous Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases, so expect the same archival documentaries and audio commentaries. Both movies will release exclusively through Amazon, retailing at $45.00 each.

Next, we have the uncut anniversary release some fans have been waiting decades for!

Tom Savini’s 1990 remake of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead will make its 4K debut this fall, in the perfect move to celebrate the movie’s 35th anniversary.

In a restoration overseen by Savini himself, the release will see the heavily censored remake available uncut for the first time.
