A live-action Goosebumps series is in the works over at Disney+ and the cast continues to grow! Variety reports that the latest addition is Rob Huebel (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World), who has signed on as a recurring guest star.
Justin Long (Barbarian), Rachael Harris (Lucifer), Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris, and Isa Briones will also star in the teen horror-comedy series, which is based on R.L. Stine’s bestselling book series of the same name. Rob Letterman, who directed the 2015 Goosebumps movie, is set to direct the first episode, as well as serving as a writer and executive producer alongside Nick Stoller.
The upcoming Goosebumps TV series “follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together—thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other—in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.”
This is the second small-screen adaptation of Stine’s Goosebumps novels, the first being another live-action series that ran from 1995 to 1998.
