Fox Acquires the Rights to Body-Horror Graphic Novel Tag

Posted on: August 19th, 2015

Fox has secured the rights to the graphic novel Tag with John R. Leonetti (Annabelle) attached to direct the film adaptation. Annabelle was a hugely successful release in 2014, grossing over $255 million worldwide – and it wasn’t even that great. However, if a film makes money then the director is going to be sought after!

Tag follows a man who gets “tagged” by a stranger and soon discovers that his body is decomposing. He then must decide to let himself decompose altogether, or pass it on to someone else and let them deal with it. I’d pass it on. The film sounds like It Follows meets Thanatomorphose and that’s not a bad thing. There’s a ton of icky horror films out there at the moment and I wonder how this one will compare.

Keep your eyes peeled for more information as it comes!
