Anvil Entertainment has released the first trailer for their upcoming chiller House by the Lake, which comes from Autopsy/Night of the Demons director Adam Gierasch.
The film – which is unrelated to 1976 exploitation gem Death Weekend aka The House by the Lake – stars Battlestar Galactica’s James Callis, Lights Out’s Amiah Miller, Anne Dudek (Mad Men) and Michael Bowen (Kill Bill, The Last House on the Left).
Synopsis:
House by the Lake tells the story of the Morgans, a loving yet troubled family hoping to reconnect on their vacation. When their autistic 10-year-old daughter (Miller) begins to fixate on a mysterious friend who may or may not be real, she retreats further into her own world and family tensions rise to the surface.
Mike De Trana (Stomping Ground) produced House by the Lake through Anvil Entertainment along with Gary King (In the Blood) and Jace Anderson (Mother of Tears, Fractured). Principal photography took place in Big Bear Lake, CA.
