WWE Studios may have produced a handful of horror films, but there are precious few fright flicks set within the world of pro wrestling. Surely set to receive a warm welcome then, is Richard Chandler’s Parts Unknown, for which we have the visually arresting poster and our first still.
Massachusetts actor/filmmaker Chandler wrote and directed the film, his eighth feature as director. Chandler has also contributed segments to anthologies 60 Seconds to Die and Grindsploitation 2.
For Parts Unknown, we currently only have this brief synopsis:
“After putting their bodies on the line for countless years, a family of professional wrestlers seek a brand new way to satisfy an impeccable bloodlust.”
The film stars Melantha Blackthorne (Death Race), Gary Lee Vincent (Death House) and James Balsamo (I Spill Your Guts), and features a cameo from pro wrestling icon Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts.
Parts Unknown is currently in post-production, and eying a Spring/Summer release.
