Rachel Weisz (The Mummy, The Favourite) is starring in Morgan Creek Entertainment’s small-screen take on the classic David Cronenberg film Dead Ringers—and some first-look images have emerged.
In the limited series, Weisz plays Elliot and Beverly Mantle, a pair of brilliant, identical twin gynecologists. They’re on a mission to change the way women birth, even if it means performing some ethically questionable procedures on infertile women.
Alice Birch (Normal People) serves as showrunner on Dead Ringers, which also stars Britne Oldford (American Horror Story), Poppy Liu (Tales of the Walking Dead), Michael Chernus (Werewolves Within), Jennifer Ehle (Saint Maud), and Emily Meade (Nerve). Directors on the six-episode series include Sean Durkin (The Nest), Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body), Karena Evans (Y: The Last Man), and Lauren Wolkstein (The Strange Ones).
Dead Ringers is set to slice into Prime Video on April 21st.
