It’s a new era of Fear Street, so, are you ready to go to the prom?
Last time we discussed Fear Street: Prom Queen, everything seemed to be ready for release. However, Netflix was yet to issue that all-important premiere date.
Now, in partnership with IGN, the streaming service has called on author R. L. Stine to make the announcement.
In a brand-new teaser, the Fear Street creator hypes up the project, before giving us a brief look at what’s in store.
The clip ends instructing us to “save the date,” as Fear Street: Prom Queen will debut on May 23rd 2025.
Netflix describes the project as follows in an official logline:
“Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next instalment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway, and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”
Matt Palmer, director of the first two Fear Street adaptions, will return for the fourth instalment, working from a script he co-wrote with Donald McLeary.
Fear Street: Prom Queen stars veteran actors such as The Conjuring’s Lili Taylor, American Pie’s Chris Klein, and Katherine Waterston of Alien: Covenant. They will be joined by a slew of up-and-coming actors including Ella Rubin, David Iacono, and India Fowler.
A trailer is expected soon, but until then, mark the date, May 23rd.
