After this and the Suspiria trailer, I think it’s about time we all stop assuming that horror re-tellings, sequels and remakes are going to be complete trash. The trailer for David Gordon Green’s Halloween has been unleashed and it looks excellent, scary and bloody brilliant.
Sure, it would be stupid to believe that this then ensures the final full film is going to match its greatness – far too often have film trailers not been representational of the completed product – but, this is exciting indeed.
Check out the trailer below and bask in the return of Michael Myers and an exquisitely chilling score from horror maestro John Carpenter. It’s also great to see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode and be introduced to her family. The final scene is particularly spooky and shows a very real monster hiding in the closet.
Synopsis:
Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Halloween additionally stars Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner and Nick Castle as Michael Myers AKA The Shape. The film will be released on 19th October 2018, so it’s not long until we get to see how this Halloween compares to those previously released in the franchise.
