The Cured is set in a post-zombie world, where the undead diseased has, you’ve guessed it, been cured. In this post-walking dead world the infected are shunned by society, leading to government interference. The film is said to explore social issues that arise from the ex-zombies’ rejection from society; something that is perhaps more familiar than we think.
If you want to see some footage from the film then check out the clip below. It raises the question of whether you’d forgive the once-zombie that killed your father. Are they forgivable because they weren’t in control or would it be impossible to forgive and forget?
The Cured comes from writer-director David Freyne and stars Ellen Page, Sam Keeley, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Paula Malcolmson. Look out for a release date soon.
