Elijah Wood (Maniac, Come to Daddy) is set to star in director Amber Sealey’s upcoming thriller Man of God, which will be launching at the Cannes virtual market.
Wood will play FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier, who interviewed Ted Bundy multiple times in the years leading up to the infamous serial killer’s execution in 1989. The film, which is based on real-life transcripts of their conversations, will be set largely in a single interrogation room.
The real Bill Hagmaier is serving as an executive producer alongside Scott Derrickson, Stacy Jorgensen, and Mark Ward, with Wood, Daniel Noah, Lisa Whalen, and Kim Sherman producing. C. Robert Cargill (Sinister) wrote the script.
The role of Ted Bundy has yet to be cast.
