Orion Pictures has snagged Gigi Saul Guerrero (Into the Dark: Culture Shock) to direct 10-31, its upcoming Halloween-set horror-thriller.
The film follows a young woman who takes her niece and nephew trick-or-treating. But the evening takes a turn when she discovers a note inside a candy wrapper informing her that a killer is on the loose in the neighbourhood.
Eli Roth, who serves as a producer on the film, has previously stated that it’s one of the scariest premises for a horror film that he’s read in years. The script was written by Ian Shorr and Peter Gamble, and was based on a story by Lauri Ashbourne and a screen story by Kathy Charles.
