Edgar Wright (pictured above) has announced that his next project is going to be a psychological thriller in the vein of Don’t Look Now and Repulsion.
We’ve been keen to see Wright delve back into his dark side since the disappointing The World’s End. Baby Driver was great fun, but we’re excited to see him steer into the horror genre once more. Shaun of the Dead is, of course, one of the best horror films ever made and you don’t need me to tell you that.
When speaking about the film’s location to Empire, Wright said:
“I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”
Wright has also said that the film will feature a female lead has been co-written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
More as it comes!
