The release of Disney/Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been pushed back to 2022.
The sequel was originally set to release in May 2021, before being pushed back to November 2021. The new release date is March 25th, 2022.
Horror legend Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell) is set to direct the film, which has been teased as being horror-tinged. Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange, with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Benedict Wong expected to reprise their roles from the first film. Elizabeth Olsen is also expected to appear as Scarlet Witch.
The script was written by Jade Bartlett and is being worked on by Michael Waldron.
