Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was set to release on March 25th, 2022, but we’re going to have to wait a little longer to see the Spiderman and Evil Dead director’s return to the world of both horror and Marvel superheroes. The film has been pushed back a few months and will now hit theatres on May 6th of next year.
The horror-tinged sequel sees Benedict Cumberbatch returning as Doctor Strange, with Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams reprising their roles from the 2016 original. Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the Scarlet Witch, recently teased that the film is “very scary” and “like old Sam Raimi.” Count us in!
