This year’s edition of Comic-Con@Home brought plenty of new teasers and trailers to whet a horror fan’s appetite—but one of the one’s that has me most excited has to be the new sneak-peek trailer for Showtime’s Dexter revival.
Set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, Dexter: New Blood finds the character living under an assumed name in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger beckons.
Michael C. Hall is back as Dexter Morgan, reuniting with original series showrunner Clyde Phillips. Julia Jones (The Twilight Saga) will play Angela, the town’s police chief, who starts the new season in a relationship with Dexter, now going by Jim Lindsay to evade capture. Also joining the cast are Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country) as true crime podcaster Moly Park and Clancy Brown (The Mortuary Collection) as the primary antagonist. Jennifer Carpenter, who played Dexter’s sister, Deb, and John Lithgow, who played the Trinity Killer, will be reprising their roles in surprising ways.
Dexter: New Blood debuts on November 7th, 2021. Don’t miss the killer trailer below!
