DARK FANTASY GAME THYMESIA DELAYED INTO 2022

Posted on: November 29th, 2021

From developer OverBorder Studio and publisher Team17, dark fantasy action RPG Thymesia has been delayed into 2022. The game was originally slated to release this December.

“Our goal is to release Thymesia in the best possible state, and to do this, we need a little longer to work on the finishing touches,” OverBorder Studio said in a statement. “It is important to us as game developers to put out something we’re proud of, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy the experience we’ve created next year when it’s fully ready.”

There is a bright side: the game will now release on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in addition to Steam. So a little wait means more ways to play!

Thymesia is set in a kingdom that is entering an age of calamity. The place once thrived on the power of alchemy, but at a price. An attempt to stop the use of alchemy backfired horribly, throwing the kingdom into chaos and infesting its streets with monsters. To survive, players will have to harness the plague as a weapon, shift into raven form during battle, and uncover the truth by recovering their character’s shattered memories, unlocking different endings depending on the choices they make and items they collect along the way.
