It’s been a long time since we’ve had a Crystal Lake update. In fact, it’s been so long that some fans were beginning to wonder if the show was in trouble.
However, now we have the ultimate update!
Yes, we now have confirmation when Crystal Lake will hit screens… and the best part? It’s right in time for Halloween!
Crystal Lake will debut via Peacock on October 15th 2026.
The Friday the 13th prequel series is set to follow homicidal matriarch Pamela Voorhees, as she puts her aspiring music career on hold to care for her disabled son Jason.
Scooby-Doo and Dead to Me star Linda Cardellini will play Pamela Voorhees, with Chucky actor Callum Vinson set to portray a young Jason.
Other actors set to appear in the prequel include; Cameron Scoggins, William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, and Danielle Kotch.
Black Sails and IT: Welcome to Derry alum Brad Caleb Kane is both the series creator and showrunner.
As well as streaming on Peacock in the US, Crystal Lake will be broadcast in the UK and Ireland via Sky Atlantic. Episodes will be available to stream immediately following broadcast on NowTV. However, it currently remains unknown if the show will premiere on the same October 15th date.
The premiere date is an exciting update for the long-dormant Friday the 13th franchise, which hasn’t had a film or TV entry for 17 years.
So, with Crystal Lake ready to go, it’s safe to say that Friday the 13th is well and truly back!
