Peacock and A24’s Crystal Lake series continues to gain momentum, with the addition of three more cast members.
The Friday the 13th prequel series has had a complicated road to production, but things finally seem to be running smoothly.
Three new actors have been added to the cast, joining the already announced names Linda Cardellini and William Catlett.
Likely, the most recognisable name among the three is Cameron Scoggins, who has had recurring roles on the hit shows Nashville and Shades of Blue. Scoggins has also worked as additional crew on numerous projects, including 2023’s The Exorcist: Believer. According to official sources, Scoggins will play Officer Dorf, a character first seen in 1980’s Friday the 13th.
Newcomers Devin Kessler and Gwendolyn Sundstrom have also joined the cast. Sundstrom will portray a character named Grace, whilst Kessler will play Briana Brooks, undoubtedly related to William Catlett’s character Levon Brooks.
We have also learned that the series will consist of eight episodes, with Michael Lennox, Celine Held, Logan George, and Quyen Tran to direct two episodes each.
Brad Caleb Kane serves as showrunner, and will executive produce Crystal Lake alongside Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, and Stuart Manashil.
Shooting is expected to begin in August, and will last through October.
More info is expected soon, including plot details, but for now, it looks like things are heating up nicely for Crystal Lake.
Stay tuned!
