Surgery is the new sex in the full trailer for Crimes of the Future, which sees writer-director David Cronenberg (The Fly, Videodrome, The Brood) returning to his body-horror roots.
In Crimes of the Future: “As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice, Saul Tenser, celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin, an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission: to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.”
Viggo Mortensen (Psycho), Léa Seydoux (The French Dispatch), and Kristen Stewart (Underwater) star in the film. The cast also includes Scott Speedman, Welket Bungué, Don McKellar, Lihi Kornowski, Tanaya Beatty, Nadia Litz, Yorgos Karamichos, and Yorgos Pirpassopoulos.
Crimes of the Future cuts into theatres in New York and Los Angeles on June 3rd before getting a wider release on June 10th. Check out the trailer below.
