Chucky Season 3 is currently filming in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with a tentative 2023 release date, but exact plot details have remained under wraps so far… Until now.

The cast and crew have been particularly secretive about the upcoming third season, announcing next to nothing since its January renewal. Previously all that had been gleaned was that series star Jennifer Tilly is reprising her role as Tiffany Valentine, learned via a “make-up test” post on the actress’ social media.

However, we now have our first concrete plot details that hint towards a very interesting direction for the show, thanks to a recently published casting call for extras.

According to local media outlets, filming will take place in and around the Kingston Penitentiary in Ontario, with the call asking for actors presenting as female of all ages to partake.

“Selected performers will be playing the part of inmates at a women’s prison and as a result, this casting call is for women-presenting participants only.”

Filming is set to take place at the penitentiary from June 7th to June 9th, with the specification that those partaking must be free June 5th and 6th for costume fittings. The show offering the role is listed as Forever Young, already confirmed as the working title for Chucky’s third season.

So, what does this all mean? It is very tantalising information with the primary question being just who is confined to that prison? Will it be Tilly’s Tiffany Valentine, perhaps in a bid to escape her tiny tormentor? Or perhaps Fiona Dourif’s Nica Pierce, a wanted fugitive since escaping confinement at the conclusion of 2017’s Cult of Chucky? We are most definitely intrigued!

We will keep our ear to the ground for any further Chucky related developments.
