Season 3 of Chucky has just thrilled fans with its adrenaline-packed finale. And whilst things may seem resolved, Chucky has always said “you just can’t keep a Good Guy down.”
To that end, we’re sure fans will be delighted to learn that franchise creator Don Mancini is working on the fourth season.
In a recent interview with New York Live, long-time franchise star Jennifer Tilly let slip that things are not over yet. When prompted by the host if rumours Mancini was “pitching” a fourth season were true, Tilly made no attempt to play coy.
Nodding, Tilly replied “Yes, Don is pitching,” and elaborated on how she has input in her character’s decisions and actions, having played her for 25 years.
So, whilst no official renewal announcement has landed yet, it seems things are moving quickly behind-the-scenes.
This is hardly a surprise, as Chucky has been quite the success for all three network parties involved, it’s a given they wish to keep it going.
With Mancini also tentatively prepping an eighth feature for Chucky, it’s safe to say the killer doll isn’t going anywhere yet.
